The rockery in the garden is made of Taihu rocks, a special type of rock produced in Suzhou. 花园里那个假山是用苏州产的太湖石堆成的。
The Jade Flowery Islet used to be an earthen hillock in the lake and later the man-made rockeries piled up on it are the water-eroded rocks from the Lake Tai. 琼华岛原来是个湖中土岗，后来才改为用太湖石叠砌而成的人造石山。
